Never in Broaster Company history have we received a cooking well with a crack in it. What you are looking at that appears to be a crack is actually carbon build up at the foot of the weld (see below photo).
Broaster Company has received a few phone calls recently about seeing what might be a crack in the cooking well along the foot of the weld seam.
Never in our history have we received a cooking well with a crack in it. What you are looking at that appears to be a crack is actually carbon build up at the foot of the weld (the space where the
weld meets the well), thus giving the appearance of a crack. There is no need for
concern when seeing this.
The below picture shows what this looks like after it’s been in the field for a while and shows what appears to be a crack but isn’t.
Location of the seam on all pressure fryers, as looking down into the cooking well, will be at 7 O’clock except for the ES24, which is located at 6 O’clock.
